Gate Valves

Movements Through Conduit Gate Valves are available in Expanding Gate, Slab Gate and Wedge Gate design and manufactured in accordance to API 6D standards. Our Slab Gate designs are simple but efficient in performance. Our designs utilize spring loaded floating seats which are pressured energized, moving the upstream seat in contact with the gate that brings about a tight and complete seal on both the upstream and downstream. Expanding Gate design is versatile in that it provides a mechanical seal between the seats and the gate ensuring valve integrity at both high and low line pressure. The Expanding Gate Valve does not rely on line pressure to seal and is recommended for applications when a tight mechanical seal is required.

PUMPS

Movement's primary product lines are the chemical injection pumps and accessories that comprise the full unit. All products are manufactured and follow an ISO compliant production manual with the facility and company in the process of a third-party audit to complete the certification process. The product line main applications are numerous and while the company commercial focus will be primarily in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of this industry, the other industrial applications are significant as well and will constitute the next frontier for growth for the company.

To name some of the few applications for the product line across the on shore off shore market, natural gas production, petroleum production, foamers, corrosion inhibitors, bactericide, biocides, chemical processing, petroleum refining, water treatment and may other general industrial applications.

Efficiency

Efficiency in performance of the pump is mainly due to the direct drive of the reciprocating action from the motor shaft. The rack acts as the guide with the wheel directly connected to the motor shaft head that turns and that circular motion is directly translated into a linear reciprocating action by driving the rack back and forth. This will increase the efficiency of the system to several folds more than competing and mainstream technologies in the market. The main technologies used are driven by a eccentric camming wheel which is offset by a follower bearing that guides the guide block and results in the reciprocating motion driving the plunger back and forth. These offsets and multi-guide components result in major inefficiencies in the system. The main three competitors of Predominant utilize a variation of the same technology.

Power Consumption

Power consumption is a main driver in this market, especially for DC, solar powered systems. The main complaint of clients are batteries that are quickly depleting and rendering the system inoperable, hence ceasing to inject chemicals into the process which will result in permanent and accumulative damage to the client’s assets. Solar panels, while price per watt is on the decline, size does matter. Through the inefficiencies acquired from direct drive and the novel concept, power consumption requirements are significantly lower than the competitive DC solar powered systems. This lower power requirements leads to smaller motors, smaller battery requirements for autonomy and inadvertently to smaller solar panel size. This will reduce the maintenance, footprint for the installation and base size for the supporting stand to withstand wind and environmental conditions.

Manufacturing Simplicity

Manufacturing simplicity is a main driver for the Company. By being more simplistic and fewer parts, the manufacturing cost is reduced dramatically leading to shorter lead times and simple assembly procedures. To the client, the less parts and components the less the maintenance is. Having fewer parts means less parts susceptible to failure and less parts in inventory for maintenance for the distributor and the client to troubleshoot and maintain. In addition to these tangible factors, the manufacturing simplicity can ensure that there would be no competitive advantage to ship manufacturing outside the US ensuring Predominant pump will always be an all US made product.

ACTUATORS

Movement supplies a wide range of actuators for multiple applications. Our actuators are engineered to our customer specifications and meet all international codes and standards.

Electrical

Electric actuators are automatic devices that work directly with electrical supply, which ranges from 24 VDC to 440/3/60 Hz, they are used for automation of gate, ball, male, butterfly or dampers valves at a low cost.

The typical characteristic of these actuators is a continuous output curve for the entire stroke and that at electrical power failure is their last position, these actuators cannot vary the output speed. They have functions such as adjustments, control and interrogation in a non-intrusive way through the Bluetooth interface, as well as different communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, Device Net among many others.

Operating times are slow at a rate of 5 sec / in. They are also equipped with a handwheel or manual gearbox, and can incorporate fire protection of the retardant, ceramic or mat type.

Its ideal use is where the electricity supply can be guaranteed.
They are not ideal for emergency stoppage or duct sectioning.

Hydraulic

Hydraulic actuators are automatic devices that work directly with oil or water, there are for low pressure (250-500 psi) and high pressure (600-5000 psi), they use water from treatment plants, industrial hydraulic oil and biodegradable oil, They are used for automation of gate, ball, male, butterfly or dampers valves.

There are different actuation mechanisms such as symmetrical or edged Scottish yoke, rack and pinion, vein, and piston type for linear valves. These actuators depend on the instrumentation and / or accessories to operate, such as solenoids, limit switches, filter, regulator, manometers, high and / or low pressure pilots, electrical switches, bypass valves, maintenance valves, eutetic devices. , partial test devices, storage tanks, hydraulic power units, locally operated keypads, remotely operated keypads, controllers, PLCs, communication protocols, fireproof protection, among others.

Operating times are fast at a rate of 1 sec / in. or less. They are also equipped with a manual hydraulic pump.

Its ideal use is in pipelines that transport liquids or bitter gas that cannot be used as a driving force, also where very fine control is required. They are ideal for emergency stops, duct sectioning or anti-surge.

Pneumatic

Pneumatic actuators are automatic devices that work directly with air or gas, there are for low pressure (30-250 psi) and high pressure (300-3000 psi), with gas you can work with instrument air, nitrogen, natural gas, sweet gas, pneumatic pump gas, bitter gas, are used for automation of gate, ball, male, butterfly or dampers valves.

There are different actuation mechanisms such as symmetrical or edged Scottish yoke, rack and pinion, vein, and piston type for linear valves.

These actuators depend on the instrumentation and / or accessories to be able to work, such as solenoids, limit switches, filter, regulator, manometers, high and / or low pressure pilots, electrical switches, bypass valves, maintenance valves, eutetic devices. , partial test devices, storage tanks, nitrogen banks, locally operated keypads, remotely operated keypads, controllers, PLCs, communication protocols, fireproof protection, among others.

Operating times are medium to fast at a rate of 1 sec / in. or less. They are also equipped with a steering wheel, manual gearbox or hydraulic pump. Its ideal use is where the pneumatic supply can be guaranteed. They are ideal for emergency stops or duct sectioning.
